Hot STory: The Runs Girl... [COMPLETED] - Season 1 Episode 1-2 - Stories

Read The Story

LINDA NARRATES…

I woke up with a start unable to recall where I was. The room was familiar but I couldn’t remember how I got there. I looked round and realised it was a hotel room.
Then I noticed I was naked and my private region was dripping wet.

The least I could remember was that I had gone for a night party with my roommate the night before.
There was enough to eat and drink and the fun had flown lavishly.

Then along came this middle-aged wealthy-looking man who came with Stella – my final year roommate.

I was in 100level while Stella was in her final year.
“Meet Chief Adeboye,” Stella introduced pointing at the middle-aged wealthy-looking man. “Chief Adeboye please meet my wonderful roommate, Linda.”
I stretched out my hand and shook hands with Chief Adeboye.

Chief Adeboye held unto my hand for some seconds before dropping it.
“I wish you guys fun,” Stella said and left immediately.
I felt uncomfortable when Stella left. It was my first time in a night party and I never foresaw that I was going to be left alone with a total stranger for any reason.

But then Chief Adeboye turned out to be a very nice man from the way he treated me.
He lavished me with attention, showered me with compliments and treated me like a queen.
Everything went on fine till he handed me a glass of red wine.
I sipped a mouthful, sipped another and yet another and another.

Then I started feeling dizzy and that was all I could remember.
The bathroom door clicked open and Chief Adeboye stepped out from the bathroom completely naked.
The picture of what had happened became clear to me.

Chief Adeboye must have drugged me, carried me to his hotel room and slept with me without my consent.
But then I had no evidence to support my claim.

His phallus stood erect between his two legs pointing at me like an aggrieved snake.
“What did you do to me?” I asked trembling with fear.
Chief Adeboye ignored my question and climbed unto the bed.

“My friend, spread your legs!” He ordered grabbing my knees and yanking them apart.
I felt sharp pain in my lower belly as Chief forcefully drove his phallus into my aggrieved pu$$¥.

Back and forth he moved for some minutes before he began to groan like a bull on heat as I felt warm, sticky fluid hit the mouth of my womb.
When he was done, he pushed me aside and threatened to deal with me if I ever revealed what happened to anybody.

Then he dressed up, took his car keys and left without uttering any other word to me.

Boko Haram, ISIS responsible for more than half of World’s deaths from terrorism – study

The number of people killed globally in terrorist attacks jumped 80 percent last year to the highest level ever recorded, the Institute for Economics and Peace said Tuesday.

The Global Terrorism Index found that 32,658 people were killed by terrorists in 2014, up from the 18,111 fatalities of the previous year, the largest increase on record.
The study defines terrorism as “the threatened or actual use of illegal force and violence by a non-state actor to attain a political, economic, religious, or social goal through fear, coercion, or intimidation”.
Nigeria-based Boko Haram and the Islamic State group were responsible for more than half of the deaths, according to the study, which measures attacks, deaths and damage from terror attacks in 162 countries.
“Terrorism is gaining momentum at an unprecedented pace,” said Steve Killelea, the executive chairman of the Institute of Economics and Peace, which produces the study.
The increase followed a 61 percent rise in 2013.
The study found that terrorism was highly concentrated, with the five countries ofAfghanistan,IraqNigeriaPakistan and Syria accounting for 78 percent of deaths last year.
Iraq was the worst affected with 9,929 deaths from terrorism — suffering both the highest number of attacks and the most fatalities from terrorism ever recorded by a country.
The biggest rise in fatalities from terrorism however was in Nigeria, which saw an increase of over 300 percent in deaths to 7,512.
Western states were much less at risk from attacks, which were most likely to be perpetrated by lone wolves driven by political extremism, nationalism or racial and religious supremacy rather than Islamic fundamentalism, according to the study.
Britain suffered greatest number of terrorist incidents in the West, mostly relating to Irish republican paramilitaries in Northern Ireland, it found.
Nevertheless, attacks claimed by Islamic State in Paris that killed at least 129 last week could prove to be a milestone, according to Killelea.
“The Paris incident in many ways is a watershed within Europe. It shows that Isil (IS) has the capabilities to be able to launch sophisticated and deadly attacks in Europe,” Killelea said.
He warned that foreign fighters who had travelled to Iraq and Syria, estimated to number between 25,000 and 30,000 since 2011, could prove a risk.
“The returning fighters from Syria will have the military training,” Killelea said.
“The tactics of Isis are changing. They are targeting more private citizens. It’s difficult – taking the time frame forward two years – to see the Isis threat disappearing.”
The study estimated that the economic cost of terrorism amounted to $52.9 billion, the highest ever level and a tenfold increase since 2000.

Governor El-Rufai Blames PDP For APC Problems

Mallam Nasir El Rufai, the governor of Kaduna state has blamed some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) elements for the division in the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC).
Speaking on Thursday, November 12, in a Hausa radio programme, the governor noted that those agitating for the filling of party positions were ignorant of the party’s constitution, Today.ng reports.
This was in reaction to agitation by some APC chieftains from the Kaduna state chapter, who petitioned the national secretariat, asking it to compel the party to fill the positions that became vacant following the elevation of some party members to appointive and elective positions.
The agitators cited Arch Barnabas Bala Bantext, who doubles as the party’s chairman and deputy governor of Kaduna state as well as Alhaji Bashir Saidu, who is both secretary of the party and commissioner of local government, and 11 other party officers at both state and federal levels.
According to El Rufai, those agitating for the filling of party positions were members of the PDP who decamped to APC in order to contest for elections.
The governor pointed out that the vacant positions have been filled by the deputies in acting capacities.
He added that the only way that a substantive party officer can emerge to fill the said vacant positions is by a special congress, which only the national secretariat can organise, in accordance with the party’s constitution.
Recall that the governor  had been criticized by many for giving out top positions in the state to his close friends, relatives and non-indigenes.

How Will New Ministers Deliver Promised APC Change?

Editor’s note: The long-awaited almighty ministers have been inaugurated and their portfolios shared amongst them. This means that work has begun. How they would be able to meet up the promised change is what many commentators on national issues have been trying to examine, based on the status quo, and predict what eventually becomes of the administration. Segun Gbadegesin, in his , is not sure if the ruling party of change is well-prepared for the discipline that it takes to govern with a mission of change. For him, if all the ministers work together, the benefits are substantial for the nation.
President Buhari and his ministers

The change campaign slogan of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Muhammadu Buhari, its presidential candidate in the 2015 general election, resonated with a substantial majority of Nigerians culminating in the historical defeat of an incumbent for the first time in Nigerian history. Nigerians assumed, rightly to my mind, that they were voting not just for a change of personnel but, more importantly, for a change of direction.
The presupposition of the change mantra and its acceptance by the electorate was that the status quo was no longer tenable or acceptable. With youth unemployment up in the stratosphere and generalised poverty and its attendant miserable existence ravaging the nation while a few amass stupendous wealth, many Nigerians felt neglected and unappreciated by their government.  Informed citizens voted for change and they succeeded; they got their favoured president.

How patient could the people be?

Success soon led to a new reality. Normally a successful change means better realities for the nation and its downcast and demoralised citizens. The party of change is therefore expected to bring successful change. And because they had waited for so long to see a substantial and positive change in the conditions of their existence, the people cannot be expected to be patient. Their patience has worn thin and they cannot understand why their desired change wasn’t coming within a month of the inauguration of the new administration.
But the reality has been different. There have been real challenges in six months.  An opposition party campaigning on the promise of change can be forgiven for not knowing what it was getting into, the extent of the damage done, and the substance of the needed repair. It was in the interest of the party in power to hide the depth of the trouble, especially in the economy. But who wants to hear excuses or complaints? All the electorate needed was change and the miracle man they elected must deliver.
In fairness to both the electorate and the new administration, each has a point. First, the economic reality that the new administration met on the ground was a mess. The slump in the oil market in our mono economy has made it impossible for the states to pay the salaries of their workers, a substantial number of who don’t really contribute productively to the economy but have been kept in the system for political reasons. States have to be bailed out by the Federal Government while the original challenge of states managing to live within their means remains unresolved.

Managing the economy as the most essential issue

At some point, however, and sooner than later if the country is not only to survive but to prosper, the important issue of managing the economy of states must have to be an issue for the government and party of change. Where a state receives close to 70 per cent of its resources from federal allocation and it spends close to 80 per cent of its resources on workers’ salary, it is clear that there can be no capital development in such a state. For how long can this continue?

The fight against corruption

Second, judging from the revelations from just a few cases that the EFCC has been battling, it is clear that corruption has eaten deep into the national flesh and it is about to crack the bones. This is an area where Nigerians have been unanimous in their rage against the system. They want the new administration to fight corruption. Indeed, they see the new president as Mr Integrity and that was why they gave him their support. It appears that the president got that message loud and clear. Time, of course, will tell.

The issue of individual differences

Third, there are cultural realities that are not the making of the new administration. Indeed, these have been with the nation since the dawn of its birth. There are cultural cleavages, including religious bigotry, ethnic chauvinism and blatant sexism. These fissures in the anatomy of the nation could be extremely painful and tragic with different groups talking past each other and making national consensus on important matters difficult to resolve.
Thus while many saw presidential candidate Buhari as a Nigerian nationalist who can bring sanity to a broken system, others saw him as a sectional irredentist. And as he emerged as the elected president, that division still endures. In the circumstance, it will take the Wisdom of Solomon to bridge these divisions and move the nation forward in one accord. Mr President has his work cut out for him.

NAFDAC Fine: Guinness Nigeria Reassures Consumers On Product Quality

All products from Guinness Nigeria conform to the highest standards of quality, having not only been produced in line with the globally accepted code of good manufacturing practice (GMP), but also been repeatedly so-certified by the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON).Mr. Peter Ndegwa, Managing Director of Guinness Nigeria PLC, said this in a statement released to the media this afternoon.
According to Ndegwa, “the meticulous and painstaking work including rigorous quality assurance, that precedes the final production of all our products, hasa singular objective: to ensure that our consumers drink products that are healthy and comparable with similar products made by a Diageo facility anywhere else in the world.”
Referring to the Guinness Nigeria production facilities in Ogba, Benin City and Aba, Ndegwa stated that each of the breweries continues to work to exceed critical standards in areas such as quality and very importantly, human safety and environmental preservation. “On an incremental basis we continue to automate our processes,” said Ndegwa. “Indeed, with an investment in excess of N52billion in improving our manufacturing processes, our brewing plantswould rank favourably among the most automated and modern brewing plants around the world.” The company’s major aim is the continuous enhancement of the quality of products Guinness Nigeria makes available to its consumers, he added.
Responding to questions on a recently reported sanction on the company by NAFDAC, Ndegwa confirmed that Guinness Nigeria is indeed in receipt of a letter from NAFDAC. “As a responsible corporate organization, we take these allegations which relate primarily to raw materials stored in one of our raw materials stores very seriously.” He clarified that the said raw materials store is not a production facility and that “we engaging NAFDAC for clarifications and resolution of the issues.”
According to Ndegwa, there is an extensive and elaborate process by which basic raw materials are first converted during the brewing stage, with lots of critical control points, before products are bottled and released to the market. “Each of these painstaking steps is rigorously monitored for conformity with all necessary global standards which we regard as basic, as we always aspire to exceed the much higher standards that have been set internally by the Diageo Group.” The high quality of products from Guinness Nigeria’s breweries,” he said, “has been attested to repeatedly not only by NAFDAC but also by the Standards Organization of Nigeria, as well as the internal quality controls of the Diageo Group.”
Ndegwa reaffirmed that Guinness Nigeria is very positive that on account of its ongoing engagement with NAFDAC, the issues will be clarified and resolved in a short while.

Guinness Nigeria established its first brewery in Ikeja, Lagos in 1962. Since then it has remained an integral player in Nigeria’s manufacturing space, opening up more breweries located in Benin City and Abarespectively. It has been commended on several occasions not only for its commitment to quality and safety but also importantly, for its contributions to the growth and development of the Nigerian economy.

How regular S EX keeps VA GINA healthy-Gynaecologist

A Gynaecologist at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital Kano, Dr. Jibril Abdullahi, has advised women to avoid cleaning the va gina with soap and alum as such could do more harm than good.
Abdullahi gave the advice against the backdrop of general understanding among women that such cleaning was the best way to keep the female part healthy.
He told the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday that the va gina had a pH level that needs to be maintained between 3.5 and 4.5 in order to prevent the growth of unhealthy bacteria and maintain the growth of good bacteria.
He said washing the va gina with harsh chemical could hurt the pH (potential of hydrogen) balance around the organ and could lead to irritation, infection, as well as offensive odour.
According to Abdullahi, women can use lukewarm water to clean by wiping from front to the back instead of using harsh chemicals in the area.
He explained that “the use of simple clean water is enough to keep the va gina clean because it has natural fluid to clean itself.
“The va gina cleanses itself. Avoid the use of feminine sprays on the va gina, scented pads, tampons, as well as scented wipes to avoid burning and irritation.
“Wipe from front to back to avoid bacteria from the anus invading the va gina and wear cotton und erwears.
“Women should also avoid tight und erwears made from synthetic fabrics such as silk and lace, among others.”
The gynaecologist also advised women to always change wet clothes and und erwears immediately after workout or swimming to guard against ye ast infection.
He said: “Taking yogurt also helps to prevent ye ast infection.”
Abdullahi further advised women to maintain good hygiene during menstruation by changing sanitary pads frequently and to always wash the va gina after s ex to minimise the chances of infection such as bacteria, among others, from invading the organ.
The expert also advised male partners to always wash the penis before s ex to minimise bacterial infection invading the va gina, especially if condom was not used.
He advised women to urinate after s exual inte rcourse, saying it helped to flush bacteria out of the va ginal area and also prevent the risk of developing Urinary Tract Infection.
He stressed that “the consumption of fruits such as cranberries, pineapples, strawberries, among others, helps to freshen the smell of the liquids secreted by the va gina.
“Drinking lots of water and consuming lots of garlic also helps to remove toxins from the va gina, as well as prevent ye ast infection.”
Abdullahi suggested kegel exercise to help maintain healthy va gina, noting that “it helps to strengthen the va ginal pelvic muscle due to the fact that it tends to get weaker with age and childbearing.
“Also, having s ex regularly helps to keep the va gina toned and elastic as it is another way of maintaining healthy va gina.”
Abdullahi then advised women to go for regular test to check s exually Transmitted Diseases and get treated if infection was present, stressing that if left untreated, it could cause long term damage.
He also urged women to seek medical help if there was a change in the looks, discharge, smell, as well as pain in and around the va gina.
